S296: Current Operations Appropriations Act Changes. Latest Version

AN ACT to make changes to the current operations Appropriations Act of 2021.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1.(a) Section 2.2(j) of S.L. 2021‑180 reads as rewritten:
SECTION 2.2.(j) The State Controller shall transfer the sum of four hundred eleven million seven hundred sixty‑nine thousand five hundred dollars ($411,769,500) four hundred thirteen million seven hundred sixty‑nine thousand five hundred dollars ($413,769,500) in nonrecurring funds for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year from funds available in the State Emergency Response and Disaster Relief Reserve, to be used in accordance with Sections 5.9 and 5.9A of this act, and the funds transferred are appropriated for the fiscal year in which they are transferred.
SECTION 1.(b) Section 5.9(a) of S.L. 2021‑180 reads as rewritten:
SECTION 5.9.(a) Allocations. – The funds appropriated in Section 2.2(j) of this act for disaster relief, recovery, mitigation, and resiliency shall be allocated as follows:

(17) $500,000 Notwithstanding any provision of law or the Committee Report referenced in Section 43.2 of this act to the contrary, $2,500,000 to the Wildlife Resources Commission for the Lake Rim Hatchery Project.

SECTION 1.(c) Section 2.1(a) of S.L. 2021‑180 reads as rewritten:
SECTION 2.1.(a) Appropriations from the General Fund for the budgets of the State departments, institutions, and agencies, and for other purposes as enumerated, are made for each year of the 2021‑2023 fiscal biennium, according to the following schedule:

SECTION 2. Part XL of S.L. 2021‑180 is amended by adding a new section to read:
SECTION 40.18.(a) Notwithstanding any provision of law or the Committee Report referenced in Section 43.2 of this act to the contrary, the grant from the State Capital and Infrastructure Fund to Myrover‑Reese Fellowship Homes, Inc., for repairs and expansion of facilities is increased by one million dollars ($1,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year.
SECTION 40.18.(b) There is appropriated from the State Capital and Infrastructure Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year to be allocated by the Office of State Budget and Management to the Macclesfield Volunteer Fire Department in the form of a grant to be used for the purchase of a fire truck and associated equipment.
SECTION 3. This act is effective July 1, 2021.
