AN ACT to provide authority to the department of public instruction to make decisions over all pre‑kindergarten literacy curriculum including studies of dyslexia.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Department of Public Instruction shall have full decision‑making over any curriculum used in pre‑kindergarten literacy programs. This includes any studies relating to dyslexia.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
