AN ACT to direct the legislative RESEARCH commission to study the uniform partition of heirs property act.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. The Legislative Research Commission (LRC) shall study whether the General Assembly should enact the Uniform Partition of Heirs Property Act. In addition, the LRC shall study any other issues the LRC deems relevant regarding partitions of real property.
SECTION 2. The LRC shall report its findings, together with any proposed legislation, to the 2024 Regular Session of the 2023 General Assembly upon its convening.
SECTION 3. This act is effective when it becomes law.
