AN ACT to appropriate funds for roanoke‑chowan community college.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Community Colleges System Office the sum of twenty‑three million dollars ($23,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to be allocated to Roanoke‑Chowan Community College, as follows:

(1)        Fifteen million dollars ($15,000,000) to construct a new health sciences building.

(2)        Eight million dollars ($8,000,000) to convert current building space into a renovated universal technical training center and provide necessary equipment for the new center.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2023.
