AN ACT to appropriate funds for the gates county sheriff's office.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to Gates County to be used to by the Sheriff's Office for the following purposes:

(1)        $200,000 to purchase and outfit patrol vehicles.

(2)        $100,000 to purchase uniforms and other necessary equipment and to upgrade technology and services.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2023.
