AN ACT to appropriate funds to person County to purchase property for economic development.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to Person County the sum of seventeen million dollars ($17,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to acquire real property within the county suitable for the purposes of economic and developmental interests, as described in Section 11.11 of S.L. 2022‑74.

SECTION 2.  Section 1 of this act becomes effective July 1, 2023. The remainder of this act is effective when it becomes law.
