H427: Honor Women Veterans Plate/Women Veterans Day. Latest Version

AN ACT to authorize the division of motor vehicles to produce aN honor WOMeN VETERANs special registration plate and to adopt the twelfth day of June of each year as women veterans day in north carolina.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1.(a) G.S. 20‑79.4(b) reads as rewritten:
(b) Types. – The Division shall issue the following types of special registration plates:

() Honor Women Veterans. – Issuable to a registered owner of a motor vehicle. The plate shall bear the silhouette of a saluting female Armed Forces member and the phrase Honor Women Veterans.

SECTION 1.(b) The Revisor of Statutes is authorized to alphabetize, number, and renumber the special registration plates listed in G.S. 20‑79.4(b) to ensure that all the special registration plates are listed in alphabetical order and numbered accordingly.
SECTION 2. Chapter 103 of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new section to read:
§ 103‑17. Women Veterans Day.
The twelfth day of June of each year is designated as Women Veterans Day in North Carolina.
SECTION 3. Section 1 of this act becomes effective July 1, 2023. The remainder of this act is effective when it becomes law.
