AN ACT to appropriate funds to update and renovate the properties and facilities of the amphitheater which houses the lost colony.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources the sum of five million dollars ($5,000,000) in nonrecurring funds to provide a directed grant to the Roanoke Island Historical Association, Incorporated, a nonprofit organization, to update and renovate the properties and facilities of Roanoke Island's historic Waterside Theatre, which houses The Lost Colony.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2023.
