S335: Funds for Local Wake County Projects. Latest Version

AN ACT to appropriate funds for various public projects in Wake County.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Town of Garner for the development of the White Deer Park Inclusive Playgrounds, which will provide children with physical, neurosensory, or developmental disabilities the opportunity to socialize and engage in outdoor play.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of two million dollars ($2,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Town of Wendell to convert the historic Rosenwald Elementary School facilities and grounds into a community center.
SECTION 3. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Town of Knightdale to purchase land in the Mailman Road vicinity for a new fire station to serve the alert service.
SECTION 4. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to the Town of Zebulon for a water and sewer project.
SECTION 5. This act becomes effective July 1, 2023.
