HOUSE BILL 397

AN ACT to allow the town of lake lure to lease certain properties for a term of more than TEN years WITHOUT TREATING IT AS A SALE.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of G.S. 160A‑272, the Town of Lake Lure may lease the Community Garden Elevated Walking Path, commonly referred to as the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, and the property identified by Rutherford County Parcel Identification Number # 0632‑69‑5544 for a term of more than 10 years without treating the lease as a sale.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
