S271: Funds for Cornelius History Museum. Latest Version
Session: 2023 - 2024
AN ACT to appropriate funds to acquire and restore the historic cornelius high school agriculture building to serve as a history museum in the town of cornelius.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of three million dollars ($3,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Town of Cornelius for the acquisition and restoration of the historic 1930s‑era Cornelius High School Agriculture Building to serve as a Cornelius history museum that will educate the community by presenting historical artifacts and information significant to the town, region, and State.
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2023.
