AN ACT appropriating funds to upgrade the TRIANGLE wastewater treatment plant.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of twenty‑five million dollars ($25,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to Durham County to make needed upgrades to the Triangle Wastewater Treatment Plant (TWWTP), which will ensure an ongoing high level of service to client companies in the Research Triangle Park engaged in life sciences and technology arenas, including electronic chip manufacturing.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2023.
