AN ACT eliminating the transfer of creditable service to the consolidated judicial retirement system from the local governmental employees' retirement system, the teachers' and state employees' retirement system, and the legislative retirement system.



The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:



SECTION 1.  G.S. 135‑70.1 and G.S. 135‑71(d) are repealed.



SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective January 1, 2024, and applies to applications for transfer submitted on or after that date.
