AN ACT to remove certain described property from the corporate LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF FUQUAY‑VARINA and the village of clemmons.



The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:



 



PART I. TOWN OF FUQUAY‑VARINA DEANNEXATION



SECTION 1.  The following described properties, identified by Wake County Parcel Identification Numbers, are removed from the corporate limits of the Town of Fuquay‑Varina:



0686176102, 0686174112, 0686173124, 0686172104, 0686170780, 0686078065, 0686076160, 0686076591, 0686074504.



SECTION 2.  This Part has no effect upon the validity of any liens of the Town of Fuquay‑Varina for ad valorem taxes or special assessments outstanding before the effective date of this Part. Such liens may be collected or foreclosed upon after the effective date of this Part as though the property were still within the corporate limits of the Town of Fuquay‑Varina.

SECTION 3.  The following described properties, identified by Forsyth County Parcel Identification Numbers, are removed from the corporate limits of the Village of Clemmons: 5884‑98‑0192, 5884‑98‑0002, 5884‑97‑0932.



SECTION 4.  This Part has no effect upon the validity of any liens of the Village of Clemmons for ad valorem taxes or special assessments outstanding before the effective date of this Part. Such liens may be collected or foreclosed upon after the effective date of this Part as though the property were still within the corporate limits of the Village of Clemmons.

SECTION 5.  This act becomes effective June 30, 2023. Property in the territories described in Sections 1 and 3 of this act as of January 1, 2023, are no longer subject to municipal taxes for taxes imposed for taxable years beginning on or after July 1, 2023.
