AN ACT to place a TEMPORARY moratoria on voluntary annexation by the city of salisbury outside of its extraterritorial jurisdiction.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The authority of the City of Salisbury to annex territory outside of its extraterritorial jurisdiction pursuant to Parts 1 and 4 of Article 4A of Chapter 160A of the General Statutes is hereby suspended.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law and expires on December 31, 2023.
