AN ACT appropriating funds to establish a pilot program for a group foster care home in polk county.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to Polk County as a grant‑in‑aid the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2022‑2023 fiscal year to create a two‑year pilot program to establish a group foster care home in Polk County. The County shall submit a progress report on the pilot program and the use of these funds to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services by October 1, 2023.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2022.
