AN ACT to require the Department of transportation to use department funds for bridge naming.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Department of Transportation shall use funds appropriated for General Maintenance to pay for all expenses associated with bridge naming. The Department shall not require the sponsor to pay any cost for bridge naming, including any administrative fee.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2022.
