H1006: Amend Prison Pilot Deadlines. Latest Version
2021-2022
AN ACT to modify the deadlines for the prison software management pilot program, as recommended by the Joint Legislative oversight Committee on justice and public safety.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Section 3.2(d) of S.L. 2020‑90 reads as rewritten:
SECTION 3.2.(d) The Department of Public Safety, Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice, shall begin operating the Prison Pilot Program by October 15, 2020.October 15, 2022.
SECTION 2. Section 3.5(b) of S.L. 2020‑90 reads as rewritten:
SECTION 3.5.(b) The Department of Public Safety, Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice, shall give a final report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety no later than April 1, 2021.April 15, 2023.
SECTION 3. Section 3.6 of S.L. 2020‑90 reads as rewritten:
SECTION 3.6. Part III of this act becomes effective July 1, 2020, and expires on July 1, 2022.July 1, 2023.
SECTION 4. This act is effective when it becomes law.
