AN ACT to provide funding for certain county needs.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the nonrecurring sum of eleven million five hundred thousand dollars ($11,500,000) for the 2022‑2023 fiscal year to be allocated and used as follows:

(1)        Three million five hundred thousand dollars ($3,500,000) for athletic facilities, including tennis courts, tracks, and bleachers at Starmount High School and Forbush High School.

(2)        Eight million dollars ($8,000,000) for two auxiliary gyms, one located at Starmount High School and one located at Forbush High School.

SECTION 2.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to Yadkin County the nonrecurring sum of twelve million dollars ($12,000,000) for the 2022‑2023 fiscal year to be allocated and used as follows:

(1)        Seven million dollars ($7,000,000) for a new governmental building for the county, containing, at a minimum, a tax office, a license plate agency, and a computer server room.

(2)        Five million dollars ($5,000,000) for water and sewer upgrades.

SECTION 3.  Funds appropriated in this act do not revert but remain available for the purposes allowed in this act.

SECTION 4.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
