AN ACT to provide funding for identified needs at certain schools.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the nonrecurring sum of twenty‑five million dollars ($25,000,000) for the 2022‑2023 fiscal year to be allocated and used for renovations and repairs as follows:

(1)        Fifteen million dollars ($15,000,000) for Goldsboro High School.

(2)        Five million dollars ($5,000,000) for Dillard Middle School.

(3)        Five million dollars ($5,000,000) for Brogden Middle School.

To the extent funds allocated in a subdivision of this section exceed the amount needed and remain unexpended, the Department may reallocate the unexpended portion to another subdivision of this section to which the funds allocated are insufficient to cover needed repairs and renovations. Funds appropriated in this act do not revert but remain available for the purposes allowed in this act.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
