A SENATE RESOLUTION To Elect Members TO the State Board of COmmunity Colleges.

Whereas, G.S. 115D‑2.2(c), as enacted by S.L. 2021‑90, directs the Senate to elect two members to serve on the State Board of Community Colleges this year; and

Whereas, Senate Resolution 734 allows for the Senate to elect members to the State Board of Community Colleges through a Senate resolution if the number of nominees placed before the Senate is equal to the total seats open; and

Whereas, there are two nominees before the Senate; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  The following persons are elected to serve as members on the State Board of Community Colleges for terms expiring June 30, 2027:

(1)        Lisa B. Estep of New Hanover County.

(2)        Thomas F. Looney of Wake County.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
