AN ACT to utilize net proceeds from the sale of state property in burke county to relocate mAINTENANCE facilities at the new broughton hospital complex.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.(a)  Notwithstanding G.S. 146‑30(a)(3), from the net proceeds resulting from the sale of land totaling approximately 7.3 acres adjacent to the Broughton legacy campus, situated in Burke County, the Office of the State Controller shall cause the total net proceeds or the sum of one million six hundred thousand dollars ($1,600,000), whichever is lesser, to be transferred to the State Capital and Infrastructure Fund, established pursuant to G.S. 143C‑4‑3.1(b).

SECTION 1.(b)  There is appropriated from the State Capital and Infrastructure Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of one million six hundred thousand dollars ($1,600,000) for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year to be used for costs associated with the construction and repairs and renovations of maintenance facilities to replace facilities previously situated on the Broughton legacy campus.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
