AN ACT to increase funding for the high point furniture market.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.(a)  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Commerce, Commerce State‑Aid, the sum of two million two hundred fifty‑five thousand four hundred seventy‑two dollars ($2,255,472) for each year of the 2021‑2023 fiscal biennium in recurring funds to be allocated to the High Point International Home Furnishings Market Authority Corporation, a nonprofit organization, to provide support for the Market.

SECTION 1.(b)  There is appropriated from the Highway Fund the sum of one million seven hundred thousand dollars ($1,700,000) for each year of the 2021‑2023 fiscal biennium in recurring funds to be allocated to the High Point International Home Furnishings Market Authority Corporation, a nonprofit organization, for transportation costs associated with the Market.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
