A JOINT RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE Governor's APPOINTMENTs OF julianna Earp, MARK DAVIS, michael robinson, and adam conrad AS SPECIAL SUPERIOR COURT JUDGEs.

 

Whereas, under the provisions of G.S. 7A‑45.1(a10), as special superior court judgeships become vacant, the Governor shall submit the names of his nominees for those judgeships to the General Assembly for confirmation by ratified joint resolution; and

Whereas, the Governor wishes to appoint Julianna Earp as a special court judge to fill a vacant term that occurred on January 1, 2021, and to appoint her to a full term; and

Whereas, the Governor wishes to appoint Mark Davis and to reappoint Michael Robinson and Adam Conrad as special superior court judges; and

Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the House of Representatives and the Senate the names of his nominees for terms as special superior court judges; Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

 

SECTION 1.(a)  The General Assembly confirms the appointment of Julianna Earp as a special superior court judge, whose term of office shall commence upon confirmation to fill a vacant term that occurred on January 1, 2021.

SECTION 1.(b)  The General Assembly confirms the appointment of Julianna Earp as a special superior court judge, whose term of office shall commence on July 1, 2021, and whose term of office shall end five years from the appointment.

SECTION 2.  The General Assembly confirms the appointment of Mark Davis as a special superior court judge, whose term of office shall commence on July 1, 2021, and whose term of office shall end five years from the appointment.

SECTION 3.  The General Assembly confirms the reappointment of Michael Robinson as a special superior court judge, whose term of office shall commence on July 1, 2021, and whose term of office shall end five years from the appointment.

SECTION 4.  The General Assembly confirms the reappointment of Adam Conrad as a special superior court judge, whose term of office shall commence after his term expires on December 23, 2021, and whose term of office shall end five years from the appointment.

SECTION 5.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.
