AN ACT to provide funding for the north carolina traumatic brain injury advisory council.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services (DMH), the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000) in recurring funds for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year and the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000) in recurring funds for the 2022‑2023 fiscal year to be used to support the North Carolina Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council (Council), established under Part 33 of Article 3 of Chapter 143B of the General Statutes. A portion of these funds shall be used to establish a new part‑time position within DMH to assist the Council with its operations.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
