AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS to the department of health and human services, division of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse services, for a grant‑in‑aid to guilford county for the construction of a facility‑based mental health crisis center for adults.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services (DMH/DD/SAS), the sum of three million eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($3,850,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year and the sum of three million eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($3,850,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2022‑2023 fiscal year to be used to provide a grant‑in‑aid to Guilford County for the construction of a facility‑based mental health crisis center to serve adults in Guilford County. Guilford County shall not use these funds for any purpose other than the purpose stated in this section.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
