AN ACT to APPROPRIATE funds for the eastern triad workforce solutions collaborative.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, Inc., a nonprofit corporation, the sum of four million five hundred thousand dollars ($4,500,000) in nonrecurring funds for each year of the 2021‑2023 fiscal biennium for the Eastern Triad Workforce Solutions Collaborative to support the development and implementation of a pilot apprenticeship program in targeted industries throughout the Eastern Triad region. These funds shall be used for training materials, apprenticeship employment costs, and curriculum development.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
