AN ACT to APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE NORTH CAROLINA RESTAURANT AND LODGING association FOUNDATION, INC., FOR CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUStry.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association Foundation, Inc., (NCRLA Foundation) a nonprofit organization, the sum of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) in nonrecurring funds for each year of the 2021‑2023 fiscal biennium as a grant‑in‑aid to provide nationally certified programs in career and technical education focused on developing critical skills necessary for students to succeed in the hospitality sector. The purpose of these funds shall be to support instructor and student training and student testing to increase the State's skilled workforce in the restaurant and lodging sectors.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
