AN ACT to providE funding for the planning and construction of a new mental health care facility in western north carolina.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services the sum of fifty million dollars ($50,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year to provide funds for the planning and construction of a new mental health care facility to be located in either Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, or Swain County.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
