AN ACT appropriating funds TO HELP CONSTRUCT THE CAIN CENTER FOR THE ARTS.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Cornelius Arts/Community Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization doing business as Cain Center for the Arts, the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year to help with the construction of the Cain Center for the Arts, a public regional arts center, which will be located in Cornelius and serve the wider Lake Norman area, including neighboring Iredell, Lincoln, and Cabarrus Counties.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
