AN ACT to prohibit the redesignation of fayetteville state university as any other name as a CONSTITUENT institution of the university of north carolina.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Part 2 of Article 1 of Chapter 116 of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new section to read:

§ 116‑4.2.  Prohibit redesignation of Fayetteville State University.

Fayetteville State University shall not be redesignated as any other name as a constituent institution of The University of North Carolina.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
