AN ACT to appropriate funds for the construction of a new school building for rosewood middle school in wayne county.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.(a)  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction for the 2021‑2022 fiscal year the sum of twenty million dollars ($20,000,000) in nonrecurring funds to be allocated to Wayne County for the construction of a new school building for Rosewood Middle School.

SECTION 1.(b)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, funds appropriated pursuant to subsection (a) of this section shall not revert at the end of the 2021‑2022 fiscal year, but shall remain available until expended or the school building is complete, whichever event occurs first.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
