AN ACT to appropriate funds for marketing association for rehabilitation centers (marc), inc.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Social Services, the sum of three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) recurring for each year of the 2021‑2023 fiscal biennium for Marketing Association for Rehabilitation Centers (MARC), Inc. These funds shall be used (i) for staffing and positions focusing on business development leadership and technical support for advanced manufacturing and (ii) to create new job opportunities for individuals who are chronically unemployed.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
