AN ACT to add certain described property to the corporate limits of the town of CALYPSO.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

SECTION 1.  The following described property is added to the corporate limits of the Town of Calypso:

Lying and being situated in Duplin County, North Carolina, and being more particularly described as follows: Being that certain parcel of land, portion of pin: 257100365429 in Faison Township, Duplin County, North Carolina, and lying east of U.S. HWY. 117 Alt. and Atlantic Coastline Railroad, south of Broadhurst Road / S.R. 1373 and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pipe set on the southern right of way (60') of Broadhurst Road / S.R. 1373, said iron pipe set having N.C. Grid coordinates (NAD 83) of North = 516,946.156 feet and East = 2,273,524.335 feet; thence leaving the southern right of way of the above‑mentioned road South 27° 32' 29 West 34.00 feet to an iron pipe set; Thence South 62° 27' 31 East 824.89 feet to an iron pipe set; Thence along a curve to the right, with a radius of 6.00 feet, a curve length of 10.46 feet, a delta angle of 99° 50' 54 and a chord bearing and distance of South 12° 32' 04 East 9.18 feet to an iron pipe set; Thence South 37° 23' 23 West 1,010.86 feet to an iron pipe set; Thence along a curve to the right, with a radius of 6.00 feet, a curve length of 10.36 feet, a delta angle of 98° 57' 04 and a chord bearing and distance of South 86° 51' 55 West 9.12 feet to an iron pipe set; Thence North 43° 39' 21 West 2,298.85 feet to an iron pipe set; Thence North 36° 44' 02 East 330.94 feet to an iron pipe set on the southern right of way (60') of Broadhurst Road / S.R. 1373; Thence along the southern right of way of the abovementioned road the following 5 (five) calls, (1) South 61° 00' 22 East 181.84 feet to an iron pipe set, (2) South 61° 26' 37 East 708.67 feet to an iron pipe set, (3) South 61° 15' 07 East 317.34 feet to an iron pipe set, (4) South 61° 49' 43 East 195.89 feet to an iron pipe set, (5) South 62° 27' 31 East 69.75 feet to the point of beginning and containing 35.43 acres or 1,543,385 square feet more or less.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective June 30, 2022. Property in the territory described by Section 1 of this act as of January 1, 2022, is subject to municipal taxes for taxes imposed for taxable years beginning on or after July 1, 2022.
