SENATE BILL 560
AN ACT to appropriate funds for the north carolina scholarship for children of wartime veterans.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the Escheats Fund to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs the sum of two million four hundred thousand dollars ($2,400,000) in recurring funds for each year of the 2019‑2021 fiscal biennium to enhance the amount of funds available for room and board expenses to students receiving a North Carolina Scholarship for Children of Wartime Veterans.
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2019.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 14th day of January, 2020.
