SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1090
A JOINT RESOLUTION proviDIng for the CONFIRMATION of John Gajda to fill the vacancy on the north carolina utilities commission.
Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 62‑10(f), the nomination made by the Governor to fill the vacancy on the North Carolina Utilities Commission is subject to confirmation by the General Assembly by joint resolution; and
Whereas, a vacancy occurred as a result of Karen M. Kemerait stepping down; and
Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the House of Representatives and the Senate the name of his appointee, John Gajda of Wake County, to serve on the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2027; Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
SECTION 1. The appointment of John Gajda of Wake County to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2027, is confirmed.
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon ratification.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 2nd day of July, 2026.
