SENATE SIMPLE RESOLUTION DRSR15369-BX-3

A SENATE RESOLUTION Relating to the appointment, nomination, and confirmation of Daniel johnson as secretary of the department of transportation.

Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 143B‑9(a), the Governor shall notify the President of the Senate of the name of each person to be nominated as the head of a principal State department; and

Whereas, each nomination is subject to senatorial advice and consent in conformance with Section 5(8) of Article III of the North Carolina Constitution; and

Whereas, the Governor has appointed Daniel Johnson as Secretary of the Department of Transportation pending further action by the Senate; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  That the Senate shall hereby consider whether to confirm Daniel Johnson as Secretary of the Department of Transportation.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
