SENATE RESOLUTION 766

A SENATE RESOLUTION relating to the appointment, nomination, and confirmation of D. Reid Wilson as Secretary of the department of Environmental quality.

Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 143B‑9(a), the Governor shall notify the President of the Senate of the name of each person to be nominated as head of a principal State department; and

Whereas, each nomination is subject to senatorial advice and consent in conformance with Section 5(8) of Article III of the North Carolina Constitution; and

Whereas, the Governor has appointed D. Reid Wilson as Secretary of the Department of Environmental Quality pending further action by the Senate; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  That the Senate shall hereby consider whether to confirm D. Reid Wilson as Secretary of the Department of Environmental Quality.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
