SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 763

A JOINT RESOLUTION providing for the confirmation of the appointment of Don van der Vaart to the utilities commission.

Whereas, under the provisions of G.S. 62‑10, appointments made by the State Treasurer to membership on the North Carolina Utilities Commission are subject to confirmation by the General Assembly by joint resolution; and

Whereas, the State Treasurer has submitted to the presiding officers of the Senate and the House of Representatives the appointment of Don van der Vaart to serve a term that begins on July 1, 2025, and expires on June 30, 2031, on the North Carolina Utilities Commission; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Don van der Vaart of Wake County to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a term that begins July 1, 2025, and expires June 30, 2031, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.
