HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 1080

A JOINT RESOLUTION confirming the governor's appointment of Jay Ludlam as director of the division of health benefits, Department of Health and Human Services.

Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 143B‑216.85, appointment by the Governor to serve as Director of the Division of Health Benefits, Department of Health and Human Services, is subject to confirmation by the General Assembly by joint resolution; and

Whereas, a vacancy has occurred due to the retirement of Dave Richard; and

Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the House of Representatives and the Senate the name of his appointee; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Jay Ludlam as Director of the Division of Health Benefits, Department of Health and Human Services, for a term beginning upon confirmation and expiring June 30, 2029, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.
