HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 1079
A JOINT RESOLUTION confirming the governor's appointment of Roger E. Chip Hawley as director of the north carolina state bureau of investigation.
Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 143B‑1208.12, appointment by the Governor to serve as Director of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is subject to confirmation by the General Assembly by joint resolution; and
Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the House of Representatives and the Senate the name of his appointee; Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
SECTION 1. The appointment of Roger E. Chip Hawley as Director of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation for a term that began July 1, 2023, and expires June 30, 2029, is confirmed.
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon ratification.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 20th day of November, 2024.
