AN ACT to appropriate funds for the forsyth county sheriff's office real timE intelligence center.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2024‑2025 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office to enable its Real Time Intelligence Center to:

(1)        Expand the intersection/ALPR camera capacity by at least 10 cameras.

(2)        Create an additional Intelligence Analyst/Coordinator position.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2024.
