AN ACT to appropriate funds to the town of hope mills for critical INFRASTRUCTURE.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of fourteen million six hundred forty‑eight thousand seven hundred thirty dollars ($14,648,730) in nonrecurring funds for the 2024‑2025 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Town of Hope Mills to purchase a Crack Seal trailer and refurbish an asphalt reclaiming trailer for operations throughout the Town. These funds may so be used for the following: (i) support contracted work to complete a full-depth replacement of 360 linear feet of roadway in two neighborhoods, (ii) support two current projects engineered for full-depth replacement and stormwater system installation, and (iii) provide for the replacement of a failing stormwater system in one neighborhood.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2024.
