AN ACT to appropriate funds for the city of fayetteville's public safety needs.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of two hundred forty thousand three hundred forty‑five dollars ($240,345) in nonrecurring funds for the 2024‑2025 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the City of Fayetteville to be used as follows:

(1)        One hundred eighty thousand three hundred forty‑five dollars ($180,345) for a modular vehicle barrier system for the Fayetteville Fire Department to improve resident safety.

(2)        Sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) for public safety personnel counseling and mental health support and services.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2024.
