SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 746
A JOINT RESOLUTION providing for the confirmation of the reappointment of Charlotte A. Mitchell to the utilities commission.
Whereas, under the provisions of G.S. 62‑10, appointments made by the Governor to membership on the North Carolina Utilities Commission are subject to confirmation by the General Assembly by joint resolution; and
Whereas, Commissioner Charlotte A. Mitchell's term expires June 30, 2023, and the Governor wishes to appoint her to another term; and
Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the Senate and the House of Representatives the name of his appointee to serve a term on the North Carolina Utilities Commission beginning July 1, 2023, and expiring June 30, 2029; Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
SECTION 1. The reappointment of Charlotte A. Mitchell to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a term beginning July 1, 2023, and expiring June 30, 2029, is confirmed.
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon ratification.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 1st day of June, 2023.
