House
AN ACT to appropriate funds for the permanent operation of the wilmington opioid quick response team.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Safety two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) in recurring funds in the 2023‑2024 fiscal year to be provided as a grant to the City of Wilmington for the operation of its Quick Response Team that addresses the needs of opiate and heroin overdose victims.
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2023.
