AN ACT to study expansion of the north carolina teaching fellows program.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee shall study ways to expand the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program to ensure a sufficient pipeline of highly qualified teachers to serve underserved and underrepresented communities and to ensure sufficient licensed teachers for hard‑to‑staff subject areas.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
