AN ACT to reimburse Buncombe County schools for redistricting required by law.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the sum of fifty‑nine thousand nine hundred eighty‑two dollars and fifty cents ($59,982.50) in nonrecurring funds for the 2024‑2025 fiscal year to be allocated to Buncombe County Schools as a reimbursement for establishing electoral districts for the Buncombe County Board of Education as required by Section 6 of S.L. 2023‑32.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2024.
